Cancellations and How To Initiate a Refund or Credit

There a several methods to initiate a cancallation including:

  • Notify us by phone at 855-338-5500 and include the address of the deed you wish to cancel;
  • Reply via mobile text at 855-338-5500 and provide deed address to start cancellation process;
  • Use the web site status page for your deed provided via email to notify us of your deed cancellation.

Deed cancellation process:

  • Each deed must be cancelled individually through one of the methods listed above.
  • Once cancellation notice has been received, your refund/credit process will be initiated.
  • Refunds and credit issuances depend on the status of the deed when cancellation notice is received.

Refund/Credit Issuances based on Deed Status

The issuances will be provided for deed status as follows:

  • Deed requests in the DRAFT, ACTIVE or PENDING status are eligible to receive a 100% refund.
  • Deed requests in the REVIEW status are eligible to receive an 80% refund.
  • Deed requests in the CONFIRM status are eligible to receive an 60% refund.
  • Deed requests in the DELIVERY or RECORD status are eligible to receive an 35% refund.
  • Deed requests in the CLOSED or ARCHIVE status are eligible to receive an 0% refund.

Any amount not provided as a refund is issued as a credit that can be used for future deed services with the exception of deeds that have already been recorded in the CLOSED or ARCHIVE status.

Changes to Our refund Policy

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our refund policy on this page with a notice that the refund policy has been updated on the Website home page. The date that the refund policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page.
